At Anchor Meadow Farm we are first generation farmers and a proud veteran family. We believe in "feeding the body & nourishing the soul!" We utilize organic practices in every aspect of the farm. We've been farming since 2017, when Matt retired from the Navy. Our small but mighty 6.5 acre farm hosts RVers, events, a small farm shop, honey bees and pigs! We grow the majority of our vegetables for ourselves and the pigs.

We raise a heritage breed of hogs called Kunekunes. Originally from New Zealand, these amazing docile hogs are known for their grazing ability, red meat and of course their lard! The kunekunes are a slower growing pig because 80% of their diet comes from organic cover crops, alfalfa and hay. Only 20% of their diet comes from grain. Some incredible nutritional facts about our pork includes 90% more Omega 9, 34% more Omega 3, and 65% more Omega 6. The pork and the lard has 2.8 times more Vitamin D and 90% more Vitamin E! Since we are a true pasture raised farm, that means we do not crate our sows during farrowing or nursing. The piglets learn from the sow by touching the earth as quickly as she will allow them to be outside and absorbing the nutrients from the earth. We never use antibiotics in our feed or inject the piglets at birth.
